jfast times recorded 'FAILURE OF FAVOURITES ONLY TWO SUCCESSFUL RING'S WARRIOR WINS AGAIN SPRINT TO FRANCIS LINCOLN Fast times were a feature of the becond day of the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting at Epsom yesterday and eonie good performances were registered. The most impressive victory was that of King's Warrior, who was again Successful in the chief event, the Alexandra Park Handicap, which he won very decisively in 4.2-1. The principal gprjnt race, the Farewell Handicap, was Won by Francis Lincoln, who was also responsible for a pleasing effort. Favourites did not faro as well as on the first day and tho only two to fecore were King's Warrior and King's Guide. However, there were no very large dividends, although Manna's Son and Royal Jewel both returned good prices. There were a couple of accidents during the day and J. T. Paul was involved in both. On tho first occasion ha escaped' uninjured after being dragged for some distanco, but he was (not so fortunate the second time, when he had a heavy fall, and was removed to hospital, i; The attendance was estimated at 14500 and the totalisator handled £16,554 10s, compared with £15,104 5s on the second day last year, an increase of £I4BO ss. Morrison). Reception, British Metal, Elissa and Bingen Sun all made mistakes early. Great Sonoma led for about half a mile, when he broke and lost the lcacl *to Worthy Princess. Polly Pan and iWorthy Nor also faulted badly at this stage and refused to settle down until they had lost all chancf of success. IWJth a round covered Worthy Princess .held a. slight lead from Stalky, who wan breaking, with Nelson Chief moving up ahead of Great Sonoma and the others well back. Three furlongs from home Nelson Chief ran past Worthy Princess and continued to trot solidly to defeat her by three lengths. Stalky, who broke near the post, was a length and a-half away third and Reception was a modierate fourth, followed at intervals by .Worth}' Nor, Bingen Sun and Great Sonoma. Scrap Iron, Nelson King, Farm Girl and Superfine were slow to strike their hopples and Great Jewel lost his driver after going about two furlongs. Aerial ■ Bell mado the early running from Royal Jewel and at the end of the first round i he was just clear of Royal Jewel, Bachelor King and Home Brew, with Scrap Iron closing up ahead of Gloster, Worthy Song and Worthy Boy. Running along , the back Aerial Bell was slightly ahead of Home Brew and Royal Jewel, with Bachelor King, Glost'er, Scrap Iron and Worthy Boy closest of the others. Two furlongs from homo Home Brew began to tire and a little further on Royal Jewel went after Aerial Bell. Royal Jewel finished courageously to win by half a head from Aerial Bell, with Worthy Boy five lengths away third. Autumn Lou, Nelson Pirate and Young Rodney all made mistakes early and when the field had settled down Manna's Son was in command from Waikato Prince, Golden Eagle and Audo Patch, who were in close ordci ahead of Nelson Pirate. After going nine furlongs, Waikato Prince broke and interfered with Golden Eaglej whose sulky w'as capsized. Golden Eagle continued on driverless, but she galloped to tho front along the back and caused no trouble to the others. Just beforo the mishap occurred Audo Patch had taken the lead and along the back the second time he was in command from Manna's Son, Dilfashion and Gala Day, who was moving up. Entering the straight Audo Patch was still in command, with Manna's Son, Gala Day and Dilfashion in hot pursuit. In a fine finish.Manna's Son won by a length and a-quarter from Dilfashion, who defeated Gala Day by a length and a-half. Autumn Lou was fourth and Nelson Pirate was fifth. Lynworthy stood on the mark and lost considerable ground before moving away. Wee Parrish and Tollgate were quickly prominent from King's Knight, who struck trouble turning along the back, and was sent to a break. With a round covered Wee Parrish, Tollgate and Parochial were together in the lead from Cherrill and Bismuth, while Lynworthy was making up ground fast. Three furlongs from home Cherrill dashed to the front and came into the straight over a dozen lengths clear of Lynworthy and she went on to win easing up by eight lengths. Lynworthy, also slowing down, was five lengths ahead of Tollgate and Bismuth was fourth. Next to finish were To Kahu and Wee Parrish. Times: 3m 21s, 3m 265, 3s 295. At the end of the first round Rockella was juiit ahead of Kewpie's Bond and Rayon d'Or, who were followed by Guid Hairst, Our McKinney, Blandford and Ironside. Going along the back Rockella still led from Kewpie's Bond, Rayon d'Or, Guid Hairst and Our McKinney, with Ironside moving up. Crossing the top Kewpie's Bond assumed command to lead into the straight from Rockella, Rayon d'Or and Ironside. In a fine race home Kewpie's Bond won by half-a-head from Ironside, who defeated Rayon d'Or by a head. Rockelfa was a neck away fourth followed by Our McKinney, Gold Dredge, Luminate and Guid Hairst.
