ALLEGED LIBEL
RUNNING _OF A FILLY AUCKLAND JOCKEY'S CLAIM (Received November 8, 6.45 p.m.)' MELBOURNE, Nov. 8 The Auckland jockey Keith Voitro and the horse trainer Bernard (Paddy) Quinlan have issued a Supreme Court writ against B. Vockler, of the Service Proprietary, Limited, Melbourne, and the Don Printing Works Proprietary, Limited, of Essendon, each claiming £2OOO damages for alleged libel relating to the running of the filly Link Divine at the Caulfield races on October 19. The paragraph complained of appeared in a sporting paper called Vockler Turf and Sport Life.
Link Divine ran fourth in the -Burwood Handicap at Caulfield on October 19. The race was won by Gay Circle, with Gay Pop second and Bustard third. .
