RELIEF WORKERS
Sir, —We are being continually told that "All relief workers are now getting full time at standard rate of pay." This may be true in some parts, but it is certainly far from true in.Paeroa. Some relief workers are getting 39s each week for 24 hours' work, and these are men with families. Others lose so much time, with wet weather, their income is sometimes reduced by 50 per cent.
