COLLISION WITH POLE

MOTOR-CAR DAMAGED PASSENGER JN HOSPITAL The bursting of a front tyre is believed to have been responsible for a new sedan motor-car swerving suddenly and colliding with a telegraph pole in Remuera Road, near Omahu Houd, shortly before one o'clock yesterday morning. A passenger in the car, Charles Snow, aged 47, of 59 Middleton Road, Remuera, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital with concussion and injuries to the face. His condition last night was fairly serious. The motor-car was driven by Mr. S. \V. Johnson, of Ngaruawahia, and was travelling .along Remuera Road toward Newmarket when the accident occurred. Mr. Snow was severely cut about the face, but the driver escaped with abrasions. The car was damaged extensively.
