PACIFISTS
Sir, —I see, reported in the press, that Italy intends to move the Powers of the world to have our key-fortress of Gibraltar "internationalised." Read in conjunction with reports of Italy's present anti-British frenzy, this is very interesting. Equally interesting will it bo to see how quickly our peace-at-any-prico friends raise the cry of "Let them take it! What right have we to keep our own?" They can, at any rate, rest assured that the most unintellectually loyal of us will agree with them on one point. Italy has quite as much right to Gibraltar as to one square yard of the independent empire of Ethiopia! Impenitentia* British.
