It was co-opera-tion of the kind which the City invari- * ably received from the association, which had never been found wanting' in any social service or community work. He had communicated these sentiments to the president, Mr. C. J. W. Taylor, and the secretary, Mr. H. J. Aekins, when.they had formally handed to him the cheque for £SOO 18s sd. This included individual donations from several city firms. The Mayor said he welcomed the opportunity also to thank publicly Mrs. Zoe Bartley Baxter, whose concert had produced for the fund £lls. '
