MR. CAMPBELL MITCHELL

TRIBUTE AT WESTFIELD V Reference to the death of Campbell Mitchell, for many years in charge, of the stock department of Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, and a wellknown figure in the stock saleyards, was made at Westfield yesterday by Mr. F. B. Parsons, president of the Master Butchers' Association. As a mark of respect to Mr. Mitchell a halt was called in the cattle sale and those present stood in silence. 1 In outlining Mr. Mitchell's long contact with the stock business, Mr. Parsons said that he had been present at the opening of the present Westfield yards in 1908 and during a long period had proved himself to be one of the finest. auctioneers in the Dominion. His relations with the farmer the buyer and his fellow auctioneers had always been most cordial, and ho was held i° high esteem in the country. A motion of condolence with Mr. Mitchell's wife and family was passed.
