OXFORD SCHOLARSHIP

FORMER AUCKLAND STUDENT Advice of a further success gained by Mr. J. A. W. Bennett, of Morton College, Oxford, and formerly of Auckland University College, has been received in Auckland. Mr. Bennett, who secured a first class pass in tlio Honours School of English Literature examinations earlier this year, has now beon awarded a Hai'msworth Senior Scholarship. The scholarship, which is one of four granted annually for research work, is open to all Oxford students and entitles the holder to £BOO a year for two years. Mr. Bennett intends to continue his studies in Old English and English literature.
