CHURCH GARDEN PARTY

In ideal weather and in delightful surroundings, the garden party which was held at the Presbyterian manse at Hobsonville on Saturday afternoon •proved an enjoyable and successful function. Garden lovers enjoyed the gay flower beds, and the trees and native bushes provided cool shade for the well-provisioned stalls, where brisk business was carried on. The fair was officially opened by the Per. Ferguson Fish, of St. James' Church, Auckland. The Rev. J. More received the guests, assisted by' his sister, Mrs. J. Dorwood and Miss Janette More, who presented Mrs. Fish with a bouquet of spring flowers. Highland music added an unusual totich to the afternoon's entertainment. It was provided by Mr. R. Patterson.
