FEANKTON QUOTATIONS i BEEF PRICES DECLINE GOOD DEMAND FOR PIGS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Fat sheep were penned, in smaller numbers at the Frankton saleyards today. There was only a small supply of fat ewes and these sold at firmer rates. Quotations for wethers were unaltered. Ox beef was offered in medium numbers, and, competition not being so keen, prices were jiOs a head lower than last week. Cow and heifer beef was penned in the usual numbers, the quality in most cases not being up to standard. Prices also declined in this section. There was a small entry of vealers, with quotations on a lower level. A heavy yarding of fat pigs was again penned. Values remained very firm, particularly ' for good quality medium-weights, which advanced in price. Heavy baconcrs" and light porkers also sold readily at late values.
