NURSES' HOME

SISTER IN CHARGE The Auckland Hospital Board yesterday appointed Miss Helen MacDiarmid sister in charge of the Nurses' Home. There were seven applicants. Miss MacDiarmid was trained at the Waikato Hospital, where she holds the position of tutor sister. She passed her State registration examination in 1924 and in 1928 took a post graduate course in nursing and obtained a diploma in hospital administration and teaching. In 1932 she took a course in maternity training and in 1935 Plunket training. Miss Irene M. Henderson has been appointed tutor sister, the- selection being made by the board in committee by ballot from three applicants.
