POOR CONDITION OF CROPS [jlY TKLKOBATH —OWN COItBEHI'ONDKM'] DUNJSDIN, Thursday Oainaru has experienced a very dry year, only 14.02 in. of rain having been recorded for the nine months ended September 30. The rainfall for September was only G2 points, and for August and July 82 and 80 points respectively. In parts of the district tho rainfall recorded is much lower than that of Oainaru, and farmers are experiencing a trying time. Little sowing has boon laid down and tho crops generally aro in poor condition.
