AUCKLAND TEAM FORM AGAINST AUSTRALIA future of the game / • M■ v ' - ? ; Appreciation of the performance of the .Auckland representative team against Australia last Saturday was expressed at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby League by the chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell. He said that he was pleased with the efforts of the local players in providing good football. Defiling with the future of the game in Auckland Mr. Campbell said that he had arranged with prominent players in the Australian team to write a series of articles for the benefit of clubs. It wns hoped, therefore, that an improvement in the standard of play would be noticed next Season.
The Mount Albert Club submitted a report on the visit of its senior team to Tanidale, Jlawke's Bay. The football, stated the report, pleased a fair attendance and much good was derived from the game, running.' a Mount Albert forward, broke his collar-bone. " _ , t The insurance committee reported that W. Telford had received a bad injury during the game against (Australia. and he w.ib plnced on the insurance list pending a report from a doctor. Mr. Cjiinpbell said thai Telford was hurt early in the game and pluckily carried on. ' ! . The donation of medals was received from Mr. A. Adanis, and it was decided to award them to Richmond, winner of the senior championship. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY Following are the fixtures for Saturday:— Australia v.
