THROWN FROM HORSE
boy severely injured ■ ACCIDENT AT PAPATOETOE Severe head injuries wero suffered by Theodore Peter Hammond,, aged 10. son of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. M. Hammond, of Parore, Dargaville, when he was thrown from a horse in Gray Avenue, Papatoetoe, shortly beforo 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. After attention by a doctor the boy was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition last night was fairly serious. The boy, who resides with his grandmother, Mrs. Hammond, in Gray Avenue, was returning from school nt the time of the accident. The horse ha was riding bolted and stumbled, and he was thrown heavily to the ground.
