Tuesday At the meeting of the Kaitaia Power Board held last evening a communication was received from the Bay of Islands County Council, suggesting the holding of a conference of all northern local authorities for the purpose of considering tho advisability of forming a power board for the far north. The board's consulting engineer also wrote stating that the Public Works Department had advised that the board's application for a loan for a hydro-electric scheme for the area had been hold up till it was seen if a power board could be formed in the north and power from Arapuni brought into the district.
