AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY

MEMORIAL TO MINISTER The time of the Auckland Presbyter? at its meeting last night was largely occupied with reports. The moderator,, the Rev. T. N. Cuttle, presided, and the moderator of Assembly, the Right Rev. Principal Dickie, was welcomed. The Rev. R. F. Fish reported that a fund had been established as a memorial to the late Rev. W. Mawson, foreign mission secretary. Tlie purpose was to raise £240 to pay off the debt on the Auckland Chinese Church, and £4O was in hand. Arrangements for the observance of Young People's Day on Sunday, October 6, were reported. The Rev. R. E. Evans was appointed , interim moderator of the Henderson charge, and the Rev. T. Halliday interim moderator of Helensville. It was decided to add Miss M. Findlay and the Rev. Y. S. Chau to the foreign mission committee.
