MEASURES AT TAURANGA CO-ORDINATION URGED r [BT telegraph OWN correspondent] TAU-RAIsGA, Tuesday The Mayor, Mr. L. R. Wilkinson, presided at a combined meeting of all local relief committees. Several speakers urged the co-ordination of relief efforts, and a motion was unanimously adopted that it be a recommendation to the annual meeting in connection with the Mayor's relief fund, to be held in about a fortnight, that a Mayor's relief committee be instituted, such committee to absorb the activities of the present citizens' relief committee and tho Mayor's relief fund; also that the question of amalgamation with other organisations dispensing relief be considered at .that meeting.
