GIFT TO TURNBIJLL LIBRARY [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] WELLINGTON. Tuesday An addition to the Turnbull Library is a painting of a woman's head by Samuel Butler, the author of " Erowhon." The picture has been presented to the library by Mr. W. I). Ferguson, of Silverstream, and was given by Samuel Butler to William Softon Moorhouse, formerly superintendent of Canterbury iu the early 'sixties, it was inherited b.y a relative of Mr. Ferguson.
