TAY BRIDGE DISASTER NEW ZEALANDER'S HEIRLOOM LONDON, Sept. 9 A macabre heirloom is going to a New Zealand railwayman in accordance with the will of his father, who was a stationmaster at Broughty Ferry, and collected the tickets before the fatal train crash from the Tay Bridge, Scotland, in 1879. The tickets are mounted in a firame made of timber from the wreckage. The original Tay Bridge, completed in 1877, was blown down on December 28, 1879, as a train was passing over it, and upwards of 80 people perished.
