COMMUNITY SUNSHINE

To augment the funds for the "cretonne stall" at; the forthcoming community sunshine fair, the members of the Takapuna branch of the society hold a social evening in the Methodist Hall, yesterday. The president, Mrs. A. Blomfield, welcomed the gathering. Games find competitions were played and the evening finished with community singing.

Items were given by the following:— Mrs. Edmonds, who played violin solos; Miss Joan Sut<-liffe and Miss J. Corf, who contributed pianoforte solos; Mrs. Len SutclifFe, who snng; and Miss Elva Wrigley,. who recited. The committee comprised:—Mrs. W. P. Salmon, Mrs. <?. W instone, Mrs. D. Gerrard, Mrs. J. Schultz, Mrs. W. Cook. Mrs. P. Billett, Mrs. H. Bioletti, Mrs. T. Coultas, Mies Hardwick.
