DAFFODIL FAIR
A daffodil day fair was held in the Manurewa Hall recently, organised by the ladies of the Anglican. Methodist and Presbyterian churches. The president. Mrs. Rutledge, welcomed Lad.v Mackenzie, who opened , tho fair, and little Audrey Rutledge presented her with a bouquet. A baby carnival had been held in connection with the fair, with the following results: Baby La "/'" n (Anglican), 3949 votes; Baby White (Presbyterian), *2-19 votes; and Baby Warlish (Methodist). 2180 votes. The conveners of stalls were:—Mowers, Mrs. Russell; produce, Mrs. Hood; sweets. Mrs. Forbes and Mrs. S. Craig; cakes. Mrs Rogers; books, Mrs. mmming: tea rooms, Mrs. Peebles; hon. treasurer, Mrs. Sheldon; hon. secretary, Mrs. Collie.
