MUNICIPAL COMMITTEE CONFIDENCE IN MEMBERS [from 3CB owx correspoxbi:xt] HAMILTON. Wedneaday Confidence that the efficiency of the Waikato Regimental and Municipal Band would not be permanently affected by the recent resignation of a number of its mepibers was expressed in a letter received by the Hamilton Borough Council this evening from the band committee. The communication stated that, the committee had every conlidence in the band and its conductor, Mr. A. E. Savage. The majority of vacancies caused by the recent resignations had been fillec. by promotions from the ranks of the junior band. There were now 27 ser.ior members and 16 learners in the junior section. The present members were enthusiastic, showing considerable promise, and in less than six months tbo band would be better than ever before. Of those member!! who had resigned seven had joined the band for contest purposes and had not paraded except for contest work. The committee assured the council that the band would Lave no difficulty in observing its civic and military obligations.
