SERVICE IN AFRICA FASCISTS' FREE FIGHT MEETING IN LIVERPOOL INTERVENTION QUARREL By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received September 3. 5.15 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 3Five hundred men and women at a meeting at the Italian Club, London, greeted with cheers the names of London Italians who have volunteered for service in East Africa who have left or are leaving this week. A free fight broke out at a Fascist meeting held in Liverpool to protest against intervention in Abyssinia. The majority of the audience of 1000 then left, after which there was another fight and four people were injured, including William Spencer, a Fascist, who was knocked senseless. FIRE ON LINER ITALIAN TROOP-SHIP INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED (Received September 3. 5 15 p.m.) COPENHAGEN. Sept. 3 The liner United States which recently was sold to Italy as a troop transport and was due to depart in a few days, was discovered to be on fire to-day. The fire is believed to have been the work of an incendiary with political motives. BRITISH BATTLESHIP ARRIVAL AT POPT SAID RESOLUTION'S MISSION (Received September 3. 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 2 The battleship Resolution, flying the flag of Admiral Sir John Fisher, Com-mander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet, has arrived at Port Said from Malta. She will remain there until September 20. IF WAR BREAKS OUT WIRELESS NARRATIVES OPERATORS ON BATTLEFIELDS ADDIS ABABA, Sept. 2 The Broadcasting Corporation of America has arranged to broadcast a running commentary from the battlefields if war breaks out. Commentators and observers are already in Ethiopia. Wireless correspondents accompanying the Abyssinian armies will describe encounters with the enemy.
