COLLISION WITH VAN
BOY CYCLIST EIADLY HURT IN SERIOUS CONDITION [BY TELEGRAPH COHBKSIPONDEXT] DARGi.VILLE, Tnesday A hoy aged 10, 'Frederick Meyer, riding a bicycle against s. high wind, collided with a baker's van framed by Mr. P. Berry and driven by Mn Fred Houghton, near Ea:ihu Bridge, last night. The lad evidently did not see the approaching van until it was too late to avoid a collision. He was struck a severe blow on the bead and thrown to the ground. After being taken to a near by house and later attended by a doctor, the boy was sent to Te Kopuru Hospital in a St. John ambulance, and wa«i j'ound to be suffering from a fractured; iiku'll. He had a bad night, but recovered consciousness this morning. He is still on the seriously ill list.
