ANIMAL WELFARE

The members of the ladies' committee of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, extended a welcome to the members of the Animal Welfare Association on Monday evening, when the two 'committees''"met to discuss future work. Mrs. B. J. Marquet, chairman of the S.P.C.A. ladies' committee, presided, and expressed pleasure at the recent amalgamation of the two organisations. Mrs. Spencer Mason replied on behalf of the Animal Welfare Association. It was resolved to hold a bridge party at an early date to celebrate the amalgamation.
