The team, comprising 12 backs and 12 forwards, is a strong ono, and includes several of tho leading players in New Zealand Rugby. The inclusion of six Aucklanders will be pleasing to local enthusiasts, especially that of R. G. Bush, who was considered in all quarteis most unlucky to be passed over in the final selection of the All Blacks for the tour of Great Britain. Another Auckland representative player this season is Grant, a very promising wing-threequarter, who played in the Ranfurly Shield match against Canterbury. Lewis, who was a nominee for a Rhodes scholarship for the past two years, is another outstanding back who can fill any position in the rearguard. Parsons captained the Canterbury team which lifted the Ranfurly Shield from Auckland three weeks ago, while Fookes has been an outstanding fiveeighths for several seasons, having represented the South Island and taken part in All Black trials. Watt is a very speedy threequater, who is playing excellent football for Otago at the present time. Tricklebank is apparently the reserve fullback and is also a Wellington representative cricketer. Outstanding among the forwards is Green, the big, fast Otago player, who has scored many tries in representative matches this season. He took part in tho All Black trial matches and is considered by southern critics ono of tho best forwards in New Zealand. Drake played for Auckland two seasons ago, while McVeagh and Thomas have won B representative honours.
