BRIGADE'S ANNUAL DANCE A dance in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the Birkenhead Volunteer Fire Brigade was held on Tuesday night in the Foresters' Hall, Birkenhead. The function was largely attended and the hall, was attractively decorated with Chinese lanterns and coloured streamers. The floor arrangements were in charge of the deputysuperintendent of the brigade, Mr. W. Roberts. The Birkenhead Fire Board was represented by Messrs. A. lladfield and A. E. Henley, and the Northcoto Volunteer Fire Brigade by Foreman A. ,J. A. Hurley, Deputy-Foreman W. F Ward, and Firemen W. Whitcombe and W. F. F. Ward. The ladies' committee comprised Mrs. W. Roberts, who wore a frock of peach taffeta; Mrs. R. Cairns, in blue satin beaute; Mrs. H Stott, green ring velvet; Mrs. H. Eccles, red marocain; Mrs. C. Rose, figured black satin; Mrs. W. Atkins, brown satin; Mrs. Eric Roberts, wine marocain and grey erminette coatee; Mrs. G. Davis, floral ninon; Mrs. A Wilkins, black georgette, and Miss E. Morrison, rose satin beaute.
