SEWERAGE PROBLEM
THE NORTH SHORE SCHEME FURTHER OPPOSITION The proposed sewerage scheme for the North Shore area was the subject of further criticism at yesterday's meeting of the Waitemata County Council It is not proposed to include in the area any portion of the Waitemata county, but the suggested outfall and treatment works for the northern scheme encroach on the foreshore of tlio Hauraki Gulf, in the middle of the East Coast bays and beaches. The opinion that the solution of Auckland's drainage difficulties would bo found in an near Fuponga Point, in the Manukau Harbour, was expressed by Mr. J. C. Rennie at the meeting yesterday.
