SPORT ATTRACTIONS
PROVINCIAL SOCCER FINAf? LEAGUE AND HOCKEY Numerous sporting fixtures have been arranged for to-day. The principal attraction is the provincial final of the Chatham Cup competition between Ponsoiiby and Hamilton Wanderers, which will be played at Bljindford Park. The game will commence at 2.30 p.m., owing to the possibility of extra time being necessary. Owing to Eden Park being flooded, all matches on the ground have been postponed. Senior B matches are also cancelled, but all other games will be played. The final series of matches in the Auckland Rugby League's senior championship will be played at Carlaw Park, when Richmond will meet City on No. 1 ground at 3 p.m. The early game will be botween Mount Albert and Ponsonbv. As Richmond and Mount Albert are equal in first place, the result of these matches will decide the championship. A further round in the Davis Cup hockey competition will be played at the Remuera grounds this afternoon, the main fixture being between Grammar Old Boys and Wesley. The Lynndale Harrier Club will conduct a 3f miles steeplechase, commencing from the Avondale racecourse, and other harrier clubs will hold runs. The series of winter competitions will be continued by the' Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cvcle Club on the Outer Domain.
Golf competitions will be continued at the various links.
