ELECTORS' VAIN WAIT
MR. W. E. PARRY'S TOUR NOTICE THAT WAS NOT SEEN [from our O"WN correspondent] Friday A number of Paeroa people who visited the Soldiers' Club last evening in anticipation of hearing Mr. W. E. Parry, M.P. for Auckland Central, were disappointed, for the meeting was cancelled. A notice on the door of the building conveyed this information, but in the darkness it was not seen until many had waited for a long time. It appears that Mr. Parry made himself available for a lecturing tour in the electorate, it being left to the district branches to arrange the details. An itinerary was drawn up, but because a ball was not available on Thursday night at one centre, it was arranged that Mr. Parry should visit Paeroa. However, the hall became available, and the original plan was followed, but. tho Paeroa branch was not advised until too late. Mr. Parry addressed a meeting in the Korepeehi Hall on Wednesday evening.
