MAORI MOTORIST * FINED RATANA CHURCH MINISTER [by telecbaph—OWN" cobbespondext] PAERQA, Fridsj A Ratana church minister, Rangi Hawera, of Kerepeehi. was convicted in the Police Court at Paeroa to-day on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car, and also of driving a car in a dangerous manner. He was fined £2 10s on each charge and ordered to pay costs and witnesses' expenses totalling £1 life. Last Friday afternoon Hawera'i car collided with a car driven by the Health Department's inspector, Mr. G, S. White, of Thames.
