ANNUAL DANCE
ALL SOULS' CHURCH A diffused blue light shone on the dancers at the annual dance of the All Souls' Church, Devonport, which was held '.n the Masonic Hall, on Wednesday evening. Streamers in the Church colours, dark and light blue, cascaded round the lights and were hung in loops from the ceiling, mingling with multi-coloured balloons in the hall. In the supper room the tables were unusually arranged with blue-lighted candles and Iceland poppies. The president, Miss P. Miller, who wore a frock of lime georgette and silver lame, and the secretary. Miss X. Owens, in white embossed satin, received the guests. Als'p acting as hostesses were Mrs. E. Miller, who wore ft frock of black velvet and lace; Mrs. Patterson, black Chantilly lace; Miss A. Walsh, black georgette and silver lame coatee; Mrs. Hearn, black chiffon and red velvet coatee; Mrs. W. Clarke, black marocain; Miss K. Coeford, black ring velvet. The committee comprised:—Miss P. Patterson, in lemon taffeta; Miss J. Mnwhinney, floral organdie; Miss Molly Coeford, cardinal red crepe; Miss Margaret Coeford, white souple satin; Miss K. Parker, white georgette and lace; Miss K. Tanner, scarlet satin beaute.
