MENUHIN RECITAL

In response to a number of personal appeals, it is announced that the New Zealand tour of the celebrated violinist, Yehudi Menuhin, has been rearranged in order that one farewell concert may be given in Auckland on Thursday, August 8. The programme for this concert will he selected by popular vote. Music-lovers and the public are invited to make suggestions by naming their favourite compositions, either classical, modern or popular, addressee] to Yehudi Menuhin, care of Lewis Eady, Limited, Queen Street. The result of the vote will be announced in the Hkh.u.d on Saturday, August ,'5. Yehudi Menuhin continues to attract record attendances throughout the Dominion. The concerts given in Wellington were so well patronised that 500 additional chairs were installed on the platform and throughout the hall for the two final concerts. In each case all seats were sold hours before the time for commencement. For the convenience of country patrons, J. and N. Tait have made arrangements to receive preliminary applications for seats for the various reserved sections. These applications will be filed in the order of receipt and alloments made accordingly. Full details regarding the opening of the plans are advertised to-day.
