ANNUAL RECEPTION [from otm own correspondent] By A!r Mail LONDON. June 29 Fellows and guests of the Royal Empire Society were favoured with a very pleasant summer evening for the annual reception of the society at the Imperial Institute. South Kensington. Representatives of every part of tho Empire and local members of the society must have numbered more than a thousand, hut tho spacious exhibition halls of the Imperial Institute provided ample and pleasant accommodation.

I Tho guests were received by Lieu-tenant-Colonel Sir Archibald Weigall, chairmnn of tho council, and Lady Weigall, and by some of the vicepresidents and other members of the council, after which tliev had several diversions to choose from. The strint band of tho Grenadier Guards, under Major G. Mijler, provided! a programme of music in the Exhibition Courts. A concert was hold in the Jehangir Hall, at which English and Dominion artists performod. An exhibition of Empire films was in progress all tho evening in tho Cinema Hall. Tho chief centre of activity, however, was in the Exhibition Pavilion, where dancing was continually in progress. Supper was served at buffets in various parts of the building.
