REV. P. J. MAIRS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] FOXTON, Thursday The death occurred this morning of the Rov. Peter John Mairs, who was a well-known minister of the Primitive Methodist Church prior to the union of the Methodist Churches. He was stationed in Taranaki, Waikato, Denniston and Manawatu districts. He was aged 71 years. •
MRS. EMMA VIOKERS [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] CAMBRIDGE. Thursday The death occurred last night of Mrs. Emma Vic-leers, wife of Mr. Thomas Vickors, at Barns Street, Leamington, at the age of 76.
The late Mrs. Vickcrs was born in Lancaster, England, being the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kemp. After her marriage over 50 years ago, she sailed to New Zealand with her husband, who, until seven years ago, farmed at Kaipaki. After his retirement, tho family made their home in Leamington. Sirs. Vickers is survived by her husband and three daughters.
