BLUFF HARBOUR BOARD

appointment of secretary [by telegram —press association] INVERCARGILL, Thursday The Bluff Harbour Board has appointed -Air. R. N. Porter secretary to the hoard in succession to Mr. H. C. Gimblett, who has been appointed 'clerk to the Southland County Council. Mr. Porter was employed for 20 years by J. G. Ward and Company, Limited, and for the last eight years he has been accountant to the Bluff Harbour Board. There were 59 applicants for the position.
