EASTERN AUSTRALIA WRECK OF AN AEROPLANE SYDNEY, June '25 The eastern States of Australia are experiencing extremely cold weather. Wide areas are covered with snow and in many parts of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria the temperatures have dropped to the lowest levels for years. Caught in a snowstorm near Taralga, an aeroplane crashed into a tree and was wrecked. The pilot escaped with a severe shaking. Hurricane conditions prevailed off the coast of South Australia. Intense cold in Southern Queensland has caused heavy losses amonu droushtweakened stock.
