STORM IN GLASGOW
LIGHTNING CAUSES HAVOC SOME NARROW ESCAPES LONDON, June 24 Twenty houses were struck hv lightning during a violent storm in Glasgow early this morning. Several roofs were torn off and houses were set on fire. Storm water was sometimes four feet deep, and drove residents from their homes. A burst water main and the failure of the electric light increased the confusion. Fifteen residents of one tenement had barely reached the street when the roof fell in, penetrating three floors.
