TRIBUTE FROM PRISONER , A WOMAN'S GRATITUDE LONDON, June 18 "To the memory of the late Sir Horace Avorv, Judge, who was always fair and just to me.— Convict 2148." These -words were attached to a sheaf of irises cremated with the body of the famous judge. Another wreath was inscribed: " In ever grateful memory of Mr. Justice Avory's kindness and chivalry in preventing the unnecessary bullying of a woman witness."
