NEW GOVERNMENT
V CHANGE IN MEXICO FORMER PRESIDENT RETIRES MEXICO, June IS The Mexican Government took office to-day under the President, General Lnzaro Cardenas, as the former President, General Calles, abandoned the political stage ho had dominated for eight years. More Conservative than was expected, the new Cabinet was sworn in while General Calles, for long called the unofficial President, departed by aeroplane for his ranch at Sinaloa, leaving General Cardenas victorious in the dispute over economic and political policies. The incoming Government is composed largely of men who have never held an important office.
