RELIGION IN GERMANY
CONCESSION TO PRESS DISCUSSION NOW ALLOWED Times Cable LONDON. June 17 The Berlin correspondent of the Times states that as the result of British criticism, the Government has allowed the newspapers to discuss religious matters, on which expression of opinion has been stifled for two years. Leading German newspapers reprint Carefully edited excerpts from the speeches of the Archbishop of Canterbury and others, also portions of letters on Germany's religious policy published in the Times. This indicates Germany's anxiety to conciliate British opinion.
