PRESIDENT HONOURED

UNITED CROQUET CLUB As a fitting finish to a successful croquet season the members and honorary members of the Lnited Croquet Club entertained the president, Mrs. M. W. Powley, at the Ritz social room yesterday afternoon. 'lho room lvas decorated with palms and Iceland poppies, and <1 bright firo added to the comfort of tho bridge players. Mr. Morton, on behalf of the members, presented tho guest of honour with a mallet, with monogrammed silver plate, as a small token of esteem and sincere appreciation of the splendid work done by her in tho interests of tho club and for the enjoyment of tho members. Those present were: —Mrs. A. Watson, Mrs. Meßride, Mrs. Croxford, Mrs. Oswald, Mrs. Dixon, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Bowes, Mrs. Pago, Mrs. Wilding, Mrs. Bolitho, Mrs. Median, Mrs. Kirk, Mrs. Vause, Mrs. Cardale, Mrs. Noton, Mrs. Heard, Mrs. EraserSmith, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Hodge, Mrs. Leonard, Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Daniel, Mrs. Ravenhall, Mrs. Peate, Mrs. McLfay, Mrs. Neumegen, Mrs. McDowell, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Pagni, Mrs. Clayton, Mrs. Munro, Mrs. .T. P. Watson, Misses Brown, Burton, Barber, Joyce, Thomson, Veale, Wright, and Mr. Morton. Prize-winners were Mrs. Peate and Mrs. Ravenhall.
