"WHEELBARROW DERBY" PROGRESS OF THE EVENT MELBOURNE. June 18 In the " Wheelbarrow Derby " Mr. T. Parkinson, who has undertaken to wheel Mr. S. Evans in a barrow from Beechworth to the Mount Buffalo Chalet, a distance of 50i miles, in eight days, for a wager of £2O a side, yesterday covered 11 miles. Mr. Parkinson showed signs of weariness. Mr. Evans' chief diversion is goading Mr. Parkinson on to greater effort. Residents along the route are treating the men hospitably.
