AUCKLAND SUBURBS SEAT

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY An invitation to Mr. Alan Donald to stand as the Democratic Party condidato for the Auckland Suburbs at the next general election was extended by a deputation which waited on him at the party's rooms on -Friday afternoon. The spokesmen for the deputation were Mr. E. D. Bollard, of Glen Eden, Mcsdamcs Homing and Bollard, and Messrs. C. O. Cox, A. Graham and J. Adams. In reply, Mr. Donald requested that he bo given a fortnight in which to make his decision which would then bo announced at one of the centres in the electorate.
