AUCKLAND HOSPITALITY CONSUL-GENERAL'S THANKS Supplementing the thanks expressed bv Rear-Admiral Nakamura for the hospitality shown to the officers and men of the Japanese naval training squadron during their recent visit to Auckland, the Japanese Consul-General at Sydney has written to the Mayor, Mr. Ernest Davis, as follows: "Will you pleaso convey to the authorities concerned in Auckland my gratitude for the arrangements kindly made by them in connection with the recent visit of the squadron to that port. I am informed by the rearadmiral that owing to t-l}« kindness shown to them, all on board spent a most interesting and enjoyable time, and I am sure they will always retain the happiest recollections of their visit."
