RETURN FROM ROTORUA MAORI WELCOME APPRECIATED The Governor-General, Viscount Gal-: way, accompanied by Viscountess Gal- 1 way and their children, left Rota-' rua by motor-car yesterday at 2 p.m. j and arrived at Auckland durina tba 1 evening. Their Excellencies have sol official engagements to-day. Before leaving Rotorua His Excellency requested Mr. H. Tai Mitchell, to convey to all the members of. the Arawa confederation of tribes, uho had taken part in the reception on Friday morning and the concert on Friday evening, his sincere thanks and appreciation for the interesting and.; wonderful time they had had. His Ex-j cellency said the charm of the concert had surprised them, and the tuneful singing, the graceful dancing and the vigorous hakas had made an impression that would never fade. He and Lady Galway looked forward to manv return visits to Rotorua to renew the friendships they had formed under such happy auspices and to see more of the people, for whom they had conceived such a "warm admiration.
