TWO MINOR COLLISIONS
motor-bus involved SLIGHT DAMAGE CAUSED An inward-bound motor-bus belonging to the Passenger Transport Company, Limited, was involved in two minor collisions within a few minutes of each other on the Great South Road, between Market Road and the Manukau Road junction, early on Saturday evening. None of the three vehicles concerned was damaged extensively. The first collision occurred when a motorist, in endeavouring to avoid a car ahead of him, swerved in front of the bus. His car was struck. and slightly damaged, but he continued toward Newmarket. A little further on, however, the driver stopped to attempt to straighten a bent mudguard that was rubbing on one of the tyres, and the bus driver also stopped near by. A tramcar following grazed the side of the bus, and while being backed out, broke a window and damaged one of the back panels. Nobody was injured, and the three vehicles continued, each under its own power.
