BUS TERMINAL

OLD STATION SUE Tho removal of the present' Commerce Street motor-bus and taxicab stands to streets on the old railway station site was decided upon last night by tho City Council, which also resolved that the 'city solicitor should appear before the Transport Licensing Authority in connection with the matter. The chief traffic inspector, Mr. G. R. Hogan, reporting upon a complaint that taxicabs still occupied tho roadway, said the matter had been held in abeyance pending the reliconsing of the buses concerned. It was generally recognised that Commerce Street was totally unsuitable for tho purpose, and its Use by buses and taxicabs was inconvenient to business people.

The chairman of tho committee, Mr. A. J. Kntriean, and the chief traffic inspector were authorised to make tho necessary arrangements.
