PROPOSAL FOR LEASING PROBABLE PRIVATE CONTROL [FROM OUR OWN correspondent] GISBORNE, Thursday The control of tho Darton Field aerodrome, Gisborne, may shortly bo transferred from tho Gisborne Borough Council to private enterprise, the Borough Council having approved of proposed • conditions under which the property may bo leased for fr\ e years to East Coast Airways, Limited. The suggested terms of lease include the provision of an annual rental of £2OO for the first two years, and subsequently a rental fixed by mutual agreement or arbitration. The lessee, it is proposed, will also be required during tho first year to spend not less than £2OO on improvements. An interesting clause provides for the lessee to give every facility for tho uso of the aerodromo by all aeroplanes;
