DWELLING BURNED
OCCUPANTS' NARROW ESCAPE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] PAEEOA. Wednesday A five-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. L. Henwood, on the TuruaNetberton Road, Turua, was destroyed by fire at about 2 o'clock on Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Henwood were in Hamilton at the time, and the occupants of the house were 3.5-year-o!d son, a farm hand, and a farm boy. These escaped in their night attire and were not even able to save their clothing. The house was burning fiercely when the fire was discovered. The house was insured for £620 with the New Zealand Office, and the contents for £4OO with the Liverpool, London and Globe Office.
